Geggie's Little Schoolhouse Back Ready to Greet Students

Look at how cute the outdoor Little Schoolhouse is at Geggie Elementary School in Eureka, now again ready for students to come Tuesday, after it was disassembled by a major storm recently. The school hosts an ice cream social Monday evening.

When a hit a select portion of Eureka on Aug. 4, the little schoolhouse at also was tossled apart by the storm.

But the maintenance crew went to work on cleaning up the downed trees at the outdoor classroom and re-establishing the little schoolhouse in its rightful spot—all before school starts Tuesday.

On Thursday, Geggie PTO members hosted a "New-to-Geggie" Family Night during which a scavenger hunt was conducted around the building. While families essentially "toured" the building, they received a surprise item at each spot.

On Monday, Geggie will host a Meet The Teacher Night along with an ice cream social from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
