What Do YOU Know About the New Health Care Reform Law?

The ladies of the Wednesday Club of Eureka welcome Thomas McAuliffe, of the Missouri Foundation for Health, to the Municipal Courtroom for a presentation explaining the one year old Affordable Care Act.  The lecture is open to all interested persons and will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Court of the Eureka Police Department at 120 City Hall Drive.

The Missouri Foundation for Health is the state’s largest nongovernmental funding source for community health initiatives.  After the Affordable Care Act passed (March 23, 2010) the Foundation began offering an overview of the law.  Since then, the program has grown to include time for questions. McAuliff, a Eureka resident, has done over 70 lectures of these lectures across the state.  He read the 2,200 -plus pages of the health care reform law--twice, and reads new articles daily to keep current with both the facts and the political spin regarding health care reform.  He’ll explain how you will be affected and try to answer many questions, beginning with the phrase “I heard . . .”, to dispel misinformation.

The lengthy and wordy debate that led up to the passage of the reform law led many people to just give up trying to understand how it would affect them.  We invite you to attend this interesting and educational evening.
