Eureka Woman Appointed Fontbonne University Trustee

This Eureka resident is a part-time teacher. A new chair of the university's board also was appointed.

Fontbonne University's board of trustees approved Carol Voss as a new board member. She is a Eureka resident.

Voss, an alumna of the university, holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and secondary education. She previously taught language arts at Bayless High School and St. Joseph Academy in St. Louis and Newark Senior High School in Newark, OH.

She is slated to work with the board’s committees on institutional advancement and academic and student affairs.

Voss served as co-chair for numerous charitable events in 2012, and is assisting with the planning of events in 2013 that include The Arts and Education Council St. Louis Awards Dinner, Doorways: Interfaith AIDS Housing and Services Project RED “Top Hat Gala,” Gateway 180: Homelessness Reversed “Open Your Heart for the Homeless” Gala, and the St. Louis NAACP Centennial Gala.  

“Since I am an alumna of Fontbonne, I am especially honored to be able to assist the university, and I enthusiastically look forward to working with the board and multiple university constituents,” said Voss in a release about the appointment.

Fontbonne's board of trustees also appointed Gary Krosch, senior vice president, U.S. Trust — Bank of America, the new board chair for the university. Krosch has served on the board since 2007, and succeeds Joseph McGlynn Jr., who served as board chair for three years.

Fontbonne University is a Catholic co-educational institution of higher education offering liberal arts and professional programs, as well as accelerated formats for busy adults. Fontbonne was founded in 1923, and is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
