College Students from Wildwood, Eureka Doing Well

Following is a recap of achievements earned by a variety of college students from the Eureka and Wildwood area.

Congratulations to the following college students from the Eureka and Wildwood area, as announced by a variety of universities, colleges and institutions.

Leanna Henning, of Wildwood, received the Educational Access Programs Merit Scholarship, Residence Life Leadership Award and President's Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2013-2014 academic year. Henning will be a 2013 graduate of Lafayette High School. She is the daughter of MaryLynne and George Henning.

The following residents are among more than 1,000 Harding University students included on the dean's list for grades achieved during the fall semester (to be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes):

  • Logan Keim, a junior from Eureka
  • Briana Midgley, a senior from Wildwood

Samantha Vanover, of Eureka, was named as a Dean's Scholar at Piedmont College for achievements during the recent fall semester.

Central Methodist University announced its Academic Achievement Award recipients. To earn such recognition from CMU's College of Graduate and Extended Studies, the student must be enrolled full time and have earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester. Students also must possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Area students honored by CMU include:

The names of more than 1,440 candidates for degrees for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Kansas was announced by the Office of the University Registrar, including Lauren Osdoby, of Wildwood. She is the daughter of Philip and Patricia Osdoby, Wildwood. She is a graduate of Lafayette High School. She received a bachelor's degree in education.

Kyle LaBeau, of Pacific, received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2013-2014 academic year. LaBeau is the son of Richard and Susan LaBeau of Pacific. He will be a 2013 graduate of Saint Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington, MO.

Matthew Libby, of Wildwood, has been awarded the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2013-2014 academic year. Libby is the son of Mark and Andrea Libby of Wildwood. He will be a 2013 graduate of Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis.

Amy Reynolds, of Pacific, graduated from Samford University during fall commencement. Reynolds earned a bachelor of arts.

Corbin McGhee from Wildwood was among the 898 students named to the fall term Dean's List at Augustana College for the 2012 fall term. McGhee is a senior at Augustana majoring in neuroscience, biology, and music.

Mike Jordan, a management information systems major and a resident of Wildwood, is on Butler University's Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.
