25 Rockwood Students Make National Merit Semifinals

Four from Eureka High; 13 from Lafayette; eight from Marquette.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation released its list of semifinalists this week for scholarships to be awarded next spring.

The scholarships, granted to about 8,000 students total, are based on academic achievements of current high school seniors who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) as a junior. Student scores and applications are considered in the selection process.
