BBQ and Silent Auction for Great, Animal Organization

As founder of Missouri Emergency Response (MERS) Large Animal Rescue, a nonprofit group based from Wildwood, I'm offering a personal invitation to our upcoming fundraiser. We sure hope you're able to join us for a huge silent auction and BBQ on Aug. 27. Here are the details:

Hosted by Eureka / Pacifc Elks Lodge

• Saturday, Aug. 27
  
• 11 a.m to 6 p.m.
• EUREKA ELKS LODGE—OLD TOWN EUREKA (right next to the railroad tracks)
• RAIN or SHINE—it's in the air-conditioned building
  
• MUSIC THROUGHOUT THE DAY BY ROADHOUSE (The Stovall Fiddlers) theroadhouseband.net(11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), and then EDDIE & LISA (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
• RIBS, CHICKEN, BRATS, BURGERS, DOGS—with all of the sides
• ‘TO GO’ ORDERS READY AS EARLY AS 10:30 a.m.—Call 636-938-6720 to place a ‘To Go’ Order
• HUGE SILENT AUCTION WITH HUNDREDS OF ITEMS—Hotel Packages, Baseball Tickets, Horse-Related Items, Dog Items, Beauty Products
  

MERS has four board of directors, along with legal counsel, that donates all of their time pro bono. MERS has no personnel that receive any pay or compensation of any kind. All donations go toward animal rescues, providing the rescue truck and training the volunteers for such rescues. We service the entire metropolitan St. Louis and nearby Illinois area, and do not charge the recipients of our rescue services.
