Wildwood Historic Preservation Member Appointed

A new commission member joined the city's historic group at Monday's night's city council meeting.

Judy Sahm of Wildwood was appointed by Wildwood Mayor Tim Woerther to the city's Historic Preservation Commission and ratified by city council members at Monday's regular meeting.

Council member Tammy Shea, Ward 3, called her a tireless volunteer. Council member Ron James, Ward 6, thanked Sahm for donating historic books to be placed at the Old Pond School House in .

Sahm was appointed to the commission to serve the remainder of the term originally held by .

Sahm joins the following others for the group of seven commission members:  Chair G. Lynne Martin, Greg Barth, Mary Lou Long, Russ Rosener, Ruth Yeaman and Claudia Rhodes.

Two council members serve as liaisons: Ron James and Harry LeMay, Ward 3. Ronald Peasley also serves as a liaison from the city's Planning and Zoning Commission.

The work of the group focuses on executing the city's Historic Preservation Ordinance, which is a voluntary process that enables property owners to receive assistance with restoring and preserving historic properties.
