Wildwood Council Member Resigns

Aaron Luter, Ward 4 Wildwood council member, resigns unexpectedly Monday afternoon.

One of Wildwood's Ward 4 council members, Aaron Luter, resigned Monday afternoon, shortly before Monday's city council meeting. When Wildwood Mayor Tim Woerther announced the resignation at the 6 p.m. work session, no explanation was provided.

Luter was elected to city council during April 2010. His two-year term would have expired in April 2012.

He also was serving on the city's Planning/Economic Development/Parks (PEP) Committee.

Woerther asked that any recommendations for an interim Ward 4 representative be shared with him and Katie Dodwell, the other Ward 4 council member.

Update to article at Nov. 15 at 9 a.m.:  Luter's resignation letter to the council stated that recent, new work assignments and the travel required for them was the reason he resigned.
