“We are blessed to have the four exceptional institutions that make up the University of Missouri System. They have made such positive contributions not only to educating the young people of Missouri, but also to positioning our state for long-term success and prosperity. It has been a privilege to work with President Wolfe and the MU leadership to help move the system in a positive direction.”

During the 2013 legislative session, Jones sponsored legislation to create a bond proposal that would provide more than $1 billion in funding for improvement projects on college campuses and at state facilities across Missouri. Jones said the proposal would help the University of Missouri System to complete several construction projects currently under consideration.
