Pond Road Closes Tuesday in Wildwood

Pond Road in will be closed to all traffic at the bridge for replacement work, just south of Rieger Road, starting after 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Smith School Road will be open as an alternate route. Replacement construction is expected to take six weeks.

Wildwood's contractor crew will handle two separate one-lane bridges' projects on Pond Road. Krupp Construction will replace the existing bridge located just north of the Pond Athletic Association ball fields and the existing bridge located just south of Rieger Road.   

Each of the existing one-lane bridges will be replaced with box culverts, and the road will be widened at each location to accommodate two lanes of traffic, according to city's announcements.

Electronic message boards will be used on Pond Road, near the bridge locations, to notify motorists of construction updates.
