MoDOT Wrapping up 'Pothole Patrol'; Report Problem Spots Now

MoDOT promised to repair most potholes within 24 hours of them being reported, but the "Pothole Patrol" effort ends Sunday.

The Missouri Department of Transportation kicked off its "enhanced pothole repair initiative" last month and it's wrapping up Sunday, April 14.

MoDOT promised road crews would repair a pothole with asphalt within 24 hours of it being reported on a weekday.

Drivers should report potholes by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT, online at MoDOT.org or by emailing comments@modot.mo.gov.

As the program wraps up, MoDOT stated in a news release that Director Dave Nichols issued a new challenge to field employees as the initiative comes to an end.

“MoDOT makes every effort to surpass expectations in everything we do,” said Nichols in the news release. “While maintenance crews have done a great job so far, I have challenged them to speed up their response time to make sure the pothole repair is done swiftly and efficiently.”

Once reported, Nichols has asked crews to repair the pothole by the close of business on the following day, including Saturdays and Sundays.
