Legends Country Club: Good News May be Coming

A Eureka board of alderman says he's optimistic about new ownership for the Legends Country Club, which closed operations Jan. 31.

Eureka board of alderman, Shannon Britt, Ward 3, shared what he believed to be positive news about the Country Club at The Legends situation at the board meeting held Feb. 19.

As a resident at The Legends subdivision, Britt said he had met with several potential buyer groups for the golf course and country club located in Eureka. "The horizon looks good," he said.

"Hopefully, we'll hear good news really soon."

I hope Mr. Britt is right. The sooner the former owners sell and move out of the way the sooner our property values will begin to stabilize. The club and golf course increase our property value by at least 20-25% whether we belong or not.

George, I totally agree. The club should prosper with the right management and our property values should be secure.

If new managment does take over, they should hire new green keepers. The ones there today steal the place blind. Steal gas, brass, chemicals, basically anything not anchored down.
