Missouri Department of Transportation crews just announced they will postpone the pavement repair work on Clarkson Road that was scheduled to begin today, due to winter weather. Instead, a MoDOT spokesperson tells Patch the pavement repair work will begin April 1, weather permitting, at various locations on Clarkson between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive. Crews will focus on this section with a one-lane closure on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists can expect delays, so allow plenty of time for your commute.

“Postponing the pavement repair work is necessary due to the major snow storm this time of year and too much moisture in the pavement,” said Michelle Voegele, MoDOT Area Engineer for Southwest Counties. “We will have better results with our repair work when the pavement dries out by next week.”
MoDOT's maintenance crews will continue to frequently sweep this section of Clarkson Road and patch potholes. As the area moves out of winter-like temperatures, MoDOT has a resurfacing project funded for Clarkson Road from Clayton Road to Lea Oak that will begin in late April to permanently repair this important route.
