Are Eureka Tax Rates Where They Should Be?

Do you feel like you're getting your money's worth from Eureka city government?

The city's property tax rate is expected to stay steady in 2013 compared to 2012, according to a brief report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch last week.

Rates for homeowners and businesses remain at 39 cents per $100 of assessed valuation; personal property remained at 38.8 cents. Agricultural rates are down to 21.8 cents per $100 assessed valuation.

The city's board of aldermen approved the rates last week.

Do you feel those rates are fine as they are? Do you feel like you're getting your money's worth from Eureka city government?
