April 5 Final Election Results: Rockwood School District's Board of Education

Winners from the 2011 Rockwood Board of Education election are: Keith Kinder, Stephen Smith and Matt Doell.

Six candidates competed for three available seats on Rockwood School District's board of education.

According to the final tabulations for the evening of April 5, but unofficial results, from the St. Louis County Election Commissioners, the three winning candidates were Keith Kinder, of Ballwin; Stephen Smith, of Eureka; and Matt Doell, of Eureka.

Keith Kinder received 7,068 votes, or 24.41 percent. Matt Doell received 5,761, or 19.89 percent. Stephen Smith received 5,095 votes, or 17.59 percent.

Mike Geller received 4,811 votes, or 16.61 percent. Roger Stock received 3,329 votes, or 11.50 percent. Kevin Mabie received 2,790 votes, or 9.63 percent.

Write-in candidates accounted for 106 votes, or 0.37 percent.

Smith already was serving on the board. Kinder and Doell replace board directors Kim McGuiness and Darla Baker.

The Rockwood board has seven members total. The three newly elected directors join fellow directors Steve Banton, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Peggy Devoy and Janet Strate.
