Wildwood Motorist Hit by Chesterfield Motorist

The Chesterfield driver was taken to Mercy Hospital.

Chandler Chan, a 32-year-old driver from Chesterfield, failed to observe the slowing traffic on Interstate 64 while driving his 2010 Honda Fit, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper. Chan's car hit a car driven by a Wildwood woman.

The accident occurred east of Boone's Crossing at 12:58 p.m. Saturday.

Wanda Phillips, 45, was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sante Fe. Chan swerved to the left, and struck her auto.

Both drivers were wearing safety belts, according to the patrol report. Chan was taken to Mercy Hospital by a Monarch Fire Protection District crew. Phillips was not injured.

Phillips' car received moderate damage, while Chan's car was deemed as extensive damage, according to the report.
