Wildwood Man Killed in Car Crash

Robert B. Putney, 57, of Wildwood, died in the crash on Highway B a half mile north of Route 94. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Putney died after being ejected from his motorcycle.

A Wildwood man was killed in a two-car crash Sunday morning on Highway B in Warren County. 

Robert B. Putney, 57, of Wildwood, died in the crash on Highway B a half mile north of Route 94. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Putney died after being ejected from his motorcycle. 

The crash report said that Putney was heading southbound on Highway B on his 2012 Honda NC700 while another driver, Donald A. Hall, 42, of Wright City, was heading northbound in his 2000 Toyota Camry. The Highway Patrol said Putney failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the centerline. 

After crossing the centerline, Putney hit Hall's Camry head on. Putney was ejected from his motorcycle. 

Putney was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:45 a.m. by the Warren County Coroner. 

According to the crash report, both drivers were wearing safety devices in the crash.
