I-44 Accident Sends Three Texans to Hospital

Post-storm conditions likely played a role in a Wednesday evening accident on westbound Interstate 44.

A 24-year-old driver from Texas was traveling westbound on Interstate 44 Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. when the 2006 Toyota Tundra she was driving traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a guard rail and overturned.

Stephanie Stephens' accident occurred on I-44, just west of Highway 50, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. Authorities indicated she was traveling too fast for the conditions.

Also in the vehicle from Fort Hood, TX, were Jade Stephens, 25 years old, and Joslyn Stephens, less than 1 year old.
