Two Caught in Wildwood Backyard With Items Stolen From Home, Police Say

St. Louis County Police said officers found Bobby Bird and Kaleb Briggs outside the burglarized house.

Two men were caught in the backyard of a Wildwood home they burglarized Monday, St. Louis County Police said.

Bobby Bird, 28, of Wildwood, and Kaleb Briggs, 28, each were charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and felony theft.

St. Louis County Police said Bird and Briggs were arrested in the backyard of a home in the 100 block of Cherry Hills Meadows Drive in Wildwood. Police said they had just left the house at about 1:55 p.m. Monday and had a silver necklace and three gold rings taken from the home.

Value of the stolen jewelry was estimated at $1,500.

Briggs’ address was listed as 1621 First St. in St. Louis, the St. Louis Community Release Center, a halfway house. Bail for Briggs was set at $15,000.

Bird is being held in St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $30,000, cash only.
