Three Homicide Cases Remain Unsolved

Can anyone assist St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers with these homicide cases? Rewards of $1,000 to $5,000 may be available. Here are the several ways to report tips or details.

Officer Lisa Pisciotta, St. Louis Metro Police Department, said the St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers' program services the entire metropolitan area. She contacted Patch to ask area residents to review the details of the following three cases in particular to determine if anyone knows any elements about them. She said seemingly small details often are helpful clues for progressing such cases.

CASE 1:

Sheldon Johnson was struck by a vehicle and killed on May 29, 2006, while riding his motorcycle on St. Charles Rock Road at Pennsylvania. Witnesses reported seeing a female driver and three male passengers exit what looked to be a dark-colored Pontiac Grand Prix. All four subjects looked at the victim and then returned to their vehicle and drove away from the scene.

Friends and family are offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the subject(s) responsible for crime. This $5,000 reward is not in conjunction with the CrimeStoppers' reward.

CASE 2:

On May 30, 2007, at approximately 12:05 p.m. the bodies of Raffiel D. Wade, age 30, and Tommy E. Foster, age 25, were discovered by a family member inside a residence located at 1319 Boismenue Avenue, East St. Louis, IL. Both victims had been shot numerous times.

CASE 3:

Tony LaChance was walking in the 400 block of Hoffmeister Ave. on June 2, 2008, at 2:15 p.m.  when the driver of a Ford Explorer drove past him, turned and then pulled over. An unknown man got out of the Explorer, approached the victim and shot him twice. The man returned to the Explorer, paused & then walked back to the victim, shooting him again. The man then walked back to the Explorer & drove off. LaChances' body was found early the next morning. Witnesses told police they saw a 1990s Chevrolet Trailblazer driving down Lagro St. twice the week before LaChance was killed. Video recovered of the scene showed a thin to medium built man, dark hair, wearing an oversized hoody and baggy pants.
