Teenager in Wildwood Prompts Helicopter Search

St. Louis County Police-Wildwood precinct officers were summoned to find a Wildwood teenager today.

A juvenile teenager from Wildwood was taken into custody in the Kingstowne Estates area this afternoon.  Eureka-Wildwood Patch readers reported several police dogs and helicopters were used to search the neighborhood.

Sgt. Matt Pleviak, of the St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood precinct, confirmed that a police helicopter was used to locate the teenager, who he said fled a residence after making threats related to suicide.

Pleviak said the juvenile was located at approximately 1:30 p.m. and taken into custody, after which an officer transported the juvenile to St. John's Hospital for psychological evaluation.
