St. Louis County Police Conducting Sobriety Checkpoints in June
Eureka Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint within the city limits between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday, June 28.
St. Louis County Police will be conducting a slew of sobriety checkpoints throughout the month of June.
The St. Louis County Police Highway Safety Unit and officers from the Division of Patrol will be checking for the impaired motorists. The goal, of course, is to reduce the number of intoxicated drivers on streets and highways.
St. Louis County Police said the inconvenience to motorists should be minimal.
The officers participating have had additional training to recognized who have had too much to drink or are under the influence of illegal drugs.
Officers will also issue citations for seat belt and other violations.
In Eureka, police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint within the Eureka city limits between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday, June 28.
