Police Bust Meth Lab in Residential Eureka Neighborhood

Five individuals were arrested May 7 in connection to the suspected lab.

A residential Eureka neighborhood may have recently served as the site for a methamphetamine lab, according to a report from the city’s police department.

The agency said they made five arrests in connection to a suspected manufacturing site for the drug on May 7 in the area of Shaw Drive, which is located off Meramec Boulevard. The arrested individuals all face felony drug charges.

Eureka sits nearby a hot zone for meth production in Missouri. According to data from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jefferson County, which borders the city to the south, accounted for roughly 17 percent of all meth-related incidents in the state in 2012.
