Pacific Man Faces Meth Charges After Traffic Stop

A Pacific man is faces criminal charges after St. Louis County Police found he had several ingredients used to make meth in car following a traffic stop.

Douglas Plowman, 35, of the 400 block of Redbud Lane in Pacific, was charged Thursday with possessing meth precursors, possessing chemicals with intent to make a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

St. Louis County Police said an officer pulled Plowman over Sept. 6 on Highway 141 at Big Bend Boulevard after seeing his vehicle crossing traffic lines. The officer found that Plowman’s driver’s license had been revoked.

Police said Plowman gave consent for the officer to search his vehicle. The officer found 96 tablets of pseudoephedrine, two rolls of plastic tubing, a canister of Coleman fuel and a red funnel in the vehicle, according to the police report.

According to a court document, Plowman admitted purchasing the items to make meth. Bail has been set at $10,000 for Plowman.
