Pacific Driver Hits Rock Wall Along I-44

A Pacific woman was injured when she lost control of the car she was driving along Interstate 44 early Saturday morning.

Ann Albright, 38, of Pacific, lost control of her 2000 Nissan Altima while eastbound on Interstate 44 at the 252.8 mile marker at approximately 1:50 a.m. Saturday, and was injured during the resulting accident.

Albright was attempting to pass traffic on the I-44 shoulder when she lost control and traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a rock wall, according to a Missouri State Highway report.

She was wearing a safety belt, according to the report.

Albright was taken by a Meramec Ambulance crew to Mercy Hospital in Washington, due to moderate injuries.

No other cars, passengers or drivers were reported involved with the accident.
