Overcorrecting Leads to Overturning

A House Springs woman was transported to an area hospital Tuesday morning after the truck she was driving overturned.

A House Springs driver was taken to the hospital after a 9:30 a.m. accident Tuesday on Highway BB, south of Oak Crest Road in Jefferson County.

Tracie Smith, 47 years old, was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger northbound when it veered off the left side of the roadway. According to a Missouri Highway Patrol Report about the accident, she overcorrected at that point, which caused the truck to overturn.

Smith was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities, and was taken to St. Anthony's Hospital by a Big River Ambulance crew.
