Next 'Click It or Ticket' Coming Friday

In 2012, 70 percent of individuals killed in crashes in Missouri were unrestrained—as in not using seat belts.

Eureka Police Department officers will join statewide law enforcers on Friday, Feb. 22, for an aggressive “Click It or Ticket” mobilization to get more motorists to buckle up and save more lives.

Despite evidence proving the benefits of wearing a seat belt, authorities indicate nearly one in four Missouri motorists are still not using vital safety devices.

“Local motorists should be prepared for a stepped up Click It or Ticket enforcement,” said Eureka Police Chief Michael Wiegand.
