Memorial for Tyler Klein, Died in Wildwood Car Accident

Visitation for this young Wildwood man will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin.

Tyler Klein, 19 years old, died in a car accident Thursday in . He was a Wildwood resident and 2010 graduate of .

He was the son of Doug and Roxie Klein, and the brother of Andy Klein, who is a junior at Eureka High.

Tyler was a "stellar athlete" in track and cross country, according to one Eureka-Wildwood Patch reader. He also was a Life Scout in of Wildwood.

"What a nice kid and hard worker Tyler was," said his Scoutmaster Ron James, also a Wildwood resident. "You could give him a job, and know he would do it. He was always cleaning this and that, always busy and always polite. This is really sad."

James said Tyler was a manager at the Steak 'N Shake in Ellisville.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Schrader. Interment will be in the in Wildwood.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Smile Train or Stray Rescue of St. Louis

officers told Patch the accident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Missouri Route T and Ossenfort Road. It involved two cars, and is still considered an active investigation.

Tyler had a female passenger in his vehicle, who was taken to St. John's Mercy Hospital, as was the driver of the other car.
