Wildwood Man Threatens to Kill Girlfriend with Belt Around Her Neck, Police Say

The man continued to utter threats to the woman as he rode in the squad car, according to a police report.

A Wildwood man faces a criminal charge after putting a belt around his girlfriend’s neck and threatening to kill her, St. Louis County Police said.

Nicholas Lantz, 27, of the 3700 block of Bouquet Road, was charged Sept. 19 with third-degree domestic assault.

St. Louis County Police said Lantz and his girlfriend were arguing when he pushed her down, put a belt around her neck and threatened to kill her.

Police said they believe he is a danger to the woman.

While in the police car on the way to jail, Lantz said three times, “I will snap that (woman’s) neck.”

Bail was set at $5,000, cash only.

I personally grew up with the Lantz family. They are great people. Obviously Big Nick is in a dark place and needs a hell of a lot of support. Very sorry to read this tragic story and wish that it wasn't true, but it is. Get help Nick. You can do it. I believe in you wild man.
