Man in Hospital After Vehicle Overturned on I-44

The accident ocurred Friday morning on eastbound 44 near Six Flags.

A 32-year-old St. Louis man is in the hospital with moderate injuries after his car overturned while traveling eastbound on Interstate 44 at approximately 1:40 a.m. Friday.

Adolphus Houston was driving his 2003 Hyundai Accent on eastbound I-44 and 233 MM in Franklin County when he exited the roadway to the left. Houston overreacted and re-entered the roadway, overturning multiple times, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Houston's vehicle came to a stop against the right guardrail, partially blocking the right lane.

St. Clair EMS responders transported Houston to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.
