One Plowed Resident Arrested When His Driveway Wasn’t

Brentwood police arrested a 28-year-old man Feb. 5 for assault and peace disturbance, who was not happy that a plow truck driver wouldn’t clear his driveway on White Avenue.

Burglar Performs Community Service

In many neighborhoods, setting out large, broken or worn-out items at the curb is an almost guaranteed way for them to be claimed by someone, especially if it has a “free” sign attached. In Ballwin, a burglar saved one homeowner the trouble. Ballwin police reported a burglary on Jan. 28 where a broken plasma TV was stolen from a resident's garage on Dear Meadows Court. The TV was valued at roughly $50.

The Three Amigos

Be careful who you hang with. Arnold police took a 17-year-old into custody Jan. 26 after he ran from Walmart store security and into a Kohl’s department store with $100 in stolen camera accessories. An 18-year-old with the suspected thief was issued a summons for possession of marijuana paraphernalia and released. Another man who was with the two, was arrested on pending warrants from Pevely, MO.

Burglars Smoke and Drink on the Job

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies seized two bottles of liquor, a beer can and cigarette butts apparently left behind in a residential burglary between on Jan. 19 on Stillbrook Estates Drive. The residence showed signs the burglary was interrupted as the burglar or burglars drank approximately a fifth of alcohol while in the home.

Thief Gets No Respect

Manchester Police responded to a report Jan. 3 in which a business owner described a man who stole a DVD player as “bald with stubby hair.”

Business Owner Must Have Smelled a Rat

In two separate incidents in Manchester, on Jan. 14 and 19, police arrested a suspected thief who stole cologne, and other items, from a store on Andersohn Street. Police sniffed out the culprit and made arrests in both cases.

This Burglar Should Keep His Day Job

The Fenton Precinct of the St. Louis County Police department reported that burglars shattered a glass window when they broke into a gas station in the 1900 block of Bowles Avenue on Jan. 7 – and took nothing.
