Local Mustang Driver Crashes in St. Charles

A local man went to the hospital this morning, after encountering slick conditions.

Jason Gebhart, a 30-year-old driver from Pacific, was traveling eastbound on Missouri Route 94 in St. Charles at 5 a.m. Tuesday when authorities state his 2000 Ford Mustang was going too fast for roadway conditions. He was west of Berg Crossing Drive when his car left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper W. J. Luzenko said Gebhart's car returned to the roadway, spun and went back off the road into a ditch.

Gebhart was wearing a seat belt, but was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington by a St. Charles County Ambulance crew for what were deemed minor injuries.
