Local Driver Hits Median
A House Springs woman was taken to the hospital after her car struck a median in Jefferson County.
Mary Dayton, a House Springs resident, was driving southbound on Interstate 55 on Tuesday, when she lost control of her car near mile marker 185 at 10:41 a.m., and hit the median.
Dayton, 63, was driving a 2005 Honda Civic, which was towed from the accident scene.
She was wearing a safety belt, according to authorities.

She was taken to by a Jefferson County Ambulance crew to St. Anothony's Hospital.
No other drivers or vehicles were involved in this accident, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
