House Springs Woman Injured in Car Collision

A House Springs woman was taken to the hospital Thursday evening after the driver of a SUV hit her car from behind.

House Springs resident Tricia McCartney was stopped in traffic while heading westbound on Highway 30 at High Ridge Boulevard Thursday when her car was hit from behind at 5:30 p.m. by a driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) from Cedar Hill.

McCartney, 23, was driving a 2000 Toyota Celica. The other driver, 54-year-old Carl Keeven, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tracker SUV.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol report.

McCartney was taken by a North Jefferson County Ambulance crew to St. Clare Health Center.
