House Springs Pair Charged in Eagle Bank Robbery

Timothy Threadgill, 45, of House Springs, walked into Eagle Bank, located in the 4600 block of Highway MM in House Springs on Nov. 7, indicating he had a weapon and demanded money from a bank teller, according to Jefferson County Sheriff's Department police. He then displayed the weapon. Threadgill fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money into a creek bed at the rear of the property. He left the creek bed a short time later and entered a red and white GMC pickup truck that was parked a short distance from the bank and left in an unknown direction, police said.

At about 10:40 a.m., sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling east on Highway MM that matched the description of the getaway vehicle. Inside was Threadgill, who was arrested. Georgetta Rice, 37, who was in the truck with him, also was arrested. Both Threadgill and Rice are from the same address in House Springs, according to the sheriff's department, just 6 miles from Eureka.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's office issued charges Friday of robbery in the first degree against the pair. Bond was set at $50,000, cash only

The investigation into the bank robbery is ongoing.
