Say no to Proposed gravel/sand mining in Eureka!

We've been made aware of a meeting on June 12th at the Timbers, proposed by the Winter Brothers Material Company.
They are hoping to get their land near the river re-zoned to open a new gravel and sand mining operation in our backyard.
From what I understand it's the area down by the Saint Louis Radio Control Flying Association's 'airport' just south of the boat ramp by Route 66 State Park.
This area is one of the things that drew my family to Eureka, we love to take evening drives to view the wildlife in the fields and watch the birds.
We're concerned about noise and air pollution, property values and the safety of our children when there will be large trucks and equipment taking over the roads.
Please join the rest of the neighborhood residents and voice your concerns at the 7pm meeting.
They've got other ground they're already destroying, let's keep the pristine bottom ground of Eureka, as well as the air and river quality, in tact and environmentally sound.
We shot down their plans last time they tried to do this, let's do it again.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
