Memorial for William Weishaar

Visitation of this founder of Baxter Gardens will be Wednesday at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin. Mass will be celebrated Thursday in Wildwood.

William "Bill" Weishaar Sr., died Sunday, at age 72 after a prolonged illness. He was a Wildwood resident.

He was the husband of Montene F. Weishaar, and father of Kathy (Bill) Selz, William "Bill" Weishaar Jr., James Weishaar, and Christopher Weishaar. He was the grandpa of Shawn and Jessica Selz and Trey and Bryanna Weishaar and the late Lily and Meadow Rieger-Weishaar. He was the brother of Betty (Jim) Evans. He was the uncle of Barbara (Jim) Tooley, Bob (Judy) Evans, and Debbie (John) Stevenson.

He was the founder and life-long owner of Baxter Gardens. He was an avid outdoorsman, and lover of fishing and hunting.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church in Wildwood. Interment will be private.
