Memorial for Shirley Hughes
A celebration of this Pacific resident's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, at noon at Ballwin United Methodist Church in Ballwin, MO.
Shirley Hughes, 82, died Sept. 15, 2011. She was a Pacific resident.
She was the wife of the late Allen Hughes; and mother of Diana Hughes, Gary (Christina) Hughes, and Lisa (Thomas) Frisch. She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Hughes Lynch and grandson, Michael T. Barry II.
In her career, she worked as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell, and then worked for St. Luke's Hospital at the switchboard and doctor's exchange. In her 25 years at St. Luke's Hospital, she touched many lives with her kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to SSM Hospice or a favorite charity.
Interment will be private.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Shirley's life on Saturday, Sept. 24, at noon at Ballwin United Methodist Church, 14825 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO 63011. A reception will follow in the church hall.
