Memorial for Mary Emmalou Howard

Visitation for the Eureka resident will be from 12:30-8 p.m. at Schrader funeral home. Howard was killed in a car crash earlier this week.

Eureka resident Mary Emmalou Howard died Tuesday at the age of 74.

She was the wife of Wilfred "Wil" Howard for 57 years and mother to Matthew (Kathy) Howard, William "Billy" (Sabrina Elliott) Howard and the late Dennis Howard. 

Mrs. Howard was a member of Faith Community Church in Scottsdale, according to her funeral notice. She liked to socialize at McDonald's with friends weekly. Some of her fondest memories was spending time with her grandchildren.

She also loved the challenge of crosswords puzzles and seek and find word puzzles. Every Monday evening, she and Wil attended a country/gospel, blue grass singing in Fenton.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Avenue, Eureka, with internment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation is set for 12:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
