Visitation for this Wildwood resident will be between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin.

Jamie Lynn Huber was born on April 24, 1960, to her mother Sue Morris, in East St. Louis, IL. She died Saturday at the age of 52. She resided in .

She was the oldest of five children, including sisters Christine, Lisa and Angela, and brother Jim.

Some of her lifelong loves grew out of her childhood days. Her love of the outdoors can be found in the many summer days she spent on her grandparent’s farm in rural Eldon, MO. She loved playing with her siblings in the fields, and helping her grandparents with the garden and livestock. Even into adult hood, Jamie could always be found out on the porch or patio, soaking in the sunlight and fresh air.

It was during the long nights at her grandparent’s home that Jamie’s love of reading was also born. From thrillers to romance, to politics and non-fiction, Jamie soaked up words with a never-ending intensity. Jamie’s love of reading may have created a strong scholar as well; throughout her academic life, she was an exemplary student.

Due to military reasons, she and her then-husband, Ron Rohrbach, and three children traveled to Texas, Louisiana, Germany, California, Indiana, and Illinois, before finally returning to Missouri.

Back in Missouri, Jamie remarried Edwin Huber, and four years later the family welcomed their daughter, Annie Rose. In the ensuing years, Jamie discovered a passion as an Autism Advocate. She provided consultation and advice to parents who struggled to get special services for their autistic children. Jamie’s efforts have helped countless children throughout the St. Louis Metro Area.

In her final years, Jamie’s life focused on her children and extended family. She was happiest at family get-togethers, chatting endlessly with her kids, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was during these times that Jamie’s enthusiastic, larger-than-life spirit shown out splendidly for the whole world to see.

Jamie is survived by her four children, Brandon, Jeremy, Kersten, and Annie; her mother Sue; her sisters Christine and Lisa; brother Jim; former husbands Ron Rohrbach and Edwin Huber; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
