Memorial for James Michael Wellman
A committal service for this U.S. Navy officer from Wildwood will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Thursday.
James Michael Wellman died Jan. 11. He was a resident.
He was the husband of Betty Jean Wellman (nee Schwartz), and father of J.R. and Jeff (Sara). He was the grandfather of the recently born Colby James. He also was the step-father of Amy and Andrea, and brother of Betsy Dinkel and Lisa Landis, both of Topeka, KS.
He graduated from Topeka West in 1968, followed by graduation from Washburn University. He then enlisted and served honorably as a U.S. Naval Officer, which began his lifelong career in computers and communications. He finished his career in 2010 at Mastercard Worldwide.
A committal service will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Thursday;it is located at 2900 Sheridan Rd. in St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity close to your own heart or the American Cancer Society.
