Memorial for Douglas R. Lee
A newcomer to the Eureka area, Lee was remembered for touching many lives through his faith, work and tennis.
Eureka resident Douglas R. Lee Jr. died May 18 at the age of 48.
He was the husband of Allison Lewis Lee and the son of Douglas Sr. and Louis Lee. He is also survived by sister April Lee Lucy (Glenn) and nice Amber.
Despite stage-four cancer, Lee continued to work full-time serving others at Apria Healthcare with a smile on his face, according to his funeral notice. It also siad he touched many lives through his faith, work and tennis in Mechanicsville, Va., and his short time in the St. Louis, Mo. area.
A funeral was held May 23 at Faith Baptist Church in Glen Allen, Va., followed by an entombment at Signel Hill Memorial Park. The Eureka Bible Church also held a local memorial service for Lee on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eureka Bible Church, 86 Augustine Rd., Eureka, Mo. 63025, or Pancreatic Action Network (Sightman Cancer Center).
