Memorial for Archie Rush Jr.
A memorial visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin.
Archie Rush Jr. died Tuesday.
He was the husband of Jewell M. Rush (nee Vernon). He also was the father of Dennis (Pam) Rush, Richard (Carolyn) Rush and Carolyn (Ted Surgant) Rush-Surgant; and grandfather of Jeremiah, Bronson and Kaitlin.
He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He was an avid fisherman, as well as a Cardinals and Rams fan.
A memorial visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MERS Large Animal Rescue Missouri Emergency Response Service—which is based in —or Long Meadow Rescue Ranch or American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell St. Louis, MO 63108.
His daughter, Carolyn Rush-Surgant, is a good friend of MERS founder Roger Vincent, a Wildwood resident. "Carolyn is the president of The Ozark Ridge Riders Trail Club, an avid horse person, and just a genuine sweetheart, who has never met a stranger," said Vincent.
