Brian Leigh Finlay, 47, Dies; Wildwood Orthodontist, MICDS Grad

Services are Friday and Saturday. Family thanked friends for their support "especially during the past 15 months." He died on Easter.

Brian Leigh Finlay, a Wildwood orthodontist and a graduate of Mary Institute & Country Day School, died on Easter Sunday at age 47. Family members will have a private burial on Friday and a memorial service on Saturday.

According to his funeral notice, Mr. Finlay's family thanked friends "who loved and supported Brian and the family throughout his life and especially during the past 15 months."

Mr. Finlay graduated from MICDS in 1984 and later graduated from Northwestern University's dental school and completing his residency in orthodontics at St. Louis University. He also had an orthodontia practice in Des Peres. Mr. Finlay and his wife Kristine would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in June.

He is survived by his wife and children Jack and Sarah, with more listed on his funeral notice. Services include a private burial on Friday, April 5, and a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday, April 6, at 1 p.m. at St. Anselm, 530 South Mason Road in Creve Coeur. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Brian L. Finlay Financial Aid Fund at Mary Institute Country Day School. More details are available here.
