4-year-old Dies from Brain Cancer

Landen Rush, a 4-year-old who had brain cancer, will be buried in Sunset Cemetery in Pacific.

Landen Rush, 4, died Friday, June 29. Some and residents knew of his fight against Stage 4 brain cancer. The type of brain cancer he had, anaplastic medulloblastoma, grows extremely quickly and predominately is found in boys 2 to 9 years old.

He was the son of Deon Rush and Phillip Rogers; grandson of Toni and Richard "Pawpaw" Shaeerin and the late Rusty Rush; great-grandson of Melba "Gigi" Hendrix; nephew of Kailee Rush, Matthew Fendler, J.D. Fendler and Tommy Thomas; and cousin to Lyric Fendler.

Visitation is Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory's Family Center, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin.

A funeral service will be held at Schrader on Sunday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery in Pacific.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
