Eureka VFW Post Service Officer Event at Pacific Eagles

Eureka VFW Post 5468 will return to the Pacific Eagles on 3 April 2011 from 7:00 am till 11:00 am during the Eagles' Monthly Breakfast. Eureka VFW will have their Post Service Officer on hand to answer questions on VA Benefits and help initiate Benefit Claims for any interested Veterans.

WHAT EVERY VETERAN NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT VETERAN BENEFITS

You are the women and men who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. You came from different walks of life to serve our country.

We are young and we are old. Some of us served under peace time conditions and others during war time. We all have a couple of things in common. Every Veteran is proud of their service and every Veteran is willing to help other deserving Veterans.

The VFW Service Officer Program for the State of Missouri wants to locate the thousands of Missouri Veterans who are eligible for VA benefits, or may have questions about existing benefits.

The VA may compensate Veterans for injuries sustained during military service or an injury aggravated during military service. Other benefits include Non Service Connected pensions for low income/wartime veterans.  To apply for these VA benefits contact a VFW Post Service Officer at your local VFW Post.  Eligibility for most VA benefits is based upon your character of discharge from active military service.

VA disability compensation for Service-Related disabilities may be for a variety of reasons.  Most common claims are for hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing or constant noise of the ears, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and  Agent Orange for Vietnam Veterans.

You do not have to be a member of any Veteran’s organization to apply for Veteran’s benefits. These and many other claims can be discussed with your local VFW Post Service Officer or contact an Accredited VFW Veterans Service Officer at any VA Medical Center in Missouri.  There is no charge for any VFW Services.
