What Does QE Stand For? You Need To Know.

Your future depends on "QE" and MMM, so be aware of what the terms reflect.

I chose this topic today because as I talk to many people, few are aware of QE:  Quantitative Easing.  It also could be described as MMM: Modern Money Mechanics, or manipulations in which actions have been taken by governments across the world when they become short of money and made attempts to increase the money supply, so different types of MMM have been used.

First, we had QE1 in the United States beginning in 2008 when our U.S. market crashed and the Federal Reserve decide to buy our debt in the amount of say $1 trillion.

This was a means to print money and buying obligations with this paper.

Well, we were still weak a couple of years later, so the Fed decided to buy more debt using QE2 for roughly another $1 trillion so more MMM has set us up for trouble.

Across the world today, rioting has broken out in dozens of countries when the people became fed up with not having the ability to feed and power themselves.  A lot of this manpower came from citizens who schooled themselves for better income, but it was not there.  It moves me when I read a Rutgers report that high priced education is only providing modest income, so maybe we have finally caught up with others.

So far our salvation has been that we were better off than most nations and have had some cushion, so the announcement by our U.S. Treasury Secretary Geithner in a presentation that "Another Financial Meltdown is certain" is concerning.

This writing is my means to give the alert, that millions of us will be caught off guard and not be prepared.

With recent widespread tornadoes, drought in the Southwest causing disposal of great herds of cattle, major flooding in grain-growing sections of the this country,  along with bad conditions across the world, it might be impossible to provide food and energy for the growing population.

If you visit stores, you will see the portions for sale have been reduced and prices raised.  In our homes, although sale prices have been depressed we have higher taxes and upkeep cost to keep us pinched.

There is a story in the St. Louis Post Dispatch about the Thies Farm, off the Page extension, that will probably to the way of many others give way to build commercial properties.  That is another reason our food will be higher.  I bought some blackberries today.  You guessed it, they were produced in Mexico.

So I am concerned that only a low percentage of our people are aware of what is happening.

I suggest you readers log in on QE on your computer to get more educated and to test my statement. The next few people you talk with, just ask what QE means.

Some might say Queen Elizabeth, the ship, but chances are, you will get the same reply that I receive.  They don't know.

A couple of blogs ago, I mentioned the great guy Harmon Killebrew gave up and went into home hospice, and lasted only one day.  Maybe he had the best way out.  Another local biggie also died, Art Kerchhoff, an heir to the old Pevely Dairy and developer of golf course and housing land in Crescent.  And he was only 82.

Be sure you read up on QE2, and try to protect yourself.
