Do You Know What MEAAA Means?

Updates on the MEAAA Route 66 Senior Center's role in the lives of Eureka, Wildwood and Pacific residents.

Do you know what MEAAA means? It stands for Mid-East Area Agency on Aging, a four-county foundation set up to bring needed services to support programs for older adults, having outlets in several cities here in Mid-East Missouri.

It is a self-help organization, with many volunteers involved and a constant change in users due to the age of those involved. I write to let my readers know of the great program held here in Eureka that needs your attention.

The Eureka unit lost several good supporters during the past year for a good reason.

They died.

But all enjoyed the work they did, and we need to preserve this ongoing program of service to the aging, all carried out with little cost to government, but by dedicated community servents. So I take this means to let my readers know what we have and what you can do to keep it going.

Whatever your age, all have one thing in common. If you are lucky, you will soon be old yourself, so it is good you are aware of what a gem we have, right here in Eureka. So I begin with a couple of items.

Please pass these upcoming events on to others in your communication list.

Thanks,

George Weber
