With only three months left in the primary and only six months until November, we have had an interesting group of events recently in the political field. On the national level, VP Biden and President Obama both voiced approval of same sex marriages and on Saturday, Mitt Romney was selected to be the speaker at the Liberty University graduation to build his ties to the opposition in a well accepted speech to the graduates.
More startling, Sen. Lugar of Indiana was defeated in the 2012 Primary there when running for his sixth term for U.S. Senator leaving the impression that in November we will perhaps see the trend continue the "throw anyone in out" feeling as in the West Virginia Primary, a candidate who is in prison in Texas got 41 percent against the sitting President getting only 59 percent of the vote.
Locally, the Meramec Township Democrats called a meeting for 7:30 p.m. at "That One Place" in Fenton.

I had arrived a few minutes early and was surprised to see nearly 100 people there and I thought we had a big showing, but it turned out that was the weekly session of a local Poker Club and at our time our meeting turned out to be with the committee man and his daughter with a visit with a member who twittered.
So, it was my finding that local politics have not been aroused.
I did hear the main Republican candidate in the Second District with Charley Brennan on KMOX say that she had a raised $1,600,000 and still had $1.1 Million in the bank. It made me wonder where the other half million went as we have seen little of her activities. I did receive one e-mail which talked of Truth.
The truth about Washington D. C:
The Secret Service scandal was discovered when a disagreement on how much a prostitute wanted for her services came to light. She wanted $800. The Secret Service Agent offered $30. How ironic is it that the only person in Washington willing to cut spending gets fired?
This made me fully believe that my planning is valid, that is not to raise money, hoping my many years of community service will be remembered is this aura of several wars going on in the U.S. right now. Think of it.
A Religious War. Dig up the facts for yourself, between certain churches and the President, a hidden war described fully on the Internet called "Bishops Versus Nuns" which could hurt the hierarchy as Catholic Lay People tend to respect nuns more than bishops.
I saw one article by Ed Kilgore, a writer of national repute which contained a paragraph that said:
"The Vatican has issued a harsh statement claiming that American nuns do not follow their bishops' thinking. That statement is profoundly true. Thank God, they don't. Nuns had a different set of priorities from that of bishops. The bishops are interested in power. The nuns are interested in the powerless. Nuns have preserved Gospel values while bishops have been perverting them. The priest drive their own cars, while the nuns ride the bus (always in pairs) The priests specialize in arrogance, the nuns in humility."
There is a racial war going on. I will let that speak for itself.
An economic war, along with a regulation war, I read a description of how a major bank lost $2 billion, but the writer did not say how they lost it.
There is a sex war going on in government. Six months recently were used to talk about Contraception with little on the economy. So be prepared to hear about 5 months on Same Sex marriage until October.
Then probably, some writers say Israel will bomb Iran, maybe using our F-22s that are almost grounded because our pilots refuse to fly them. Not my opinion, but surely something will arise before election.
There is a health war which will spread to obesity and shorting on a drug war which is costing billions and we are losing.
So Facebook and other social activities are growing in scope every day and solving nothing except that we are aging every day with probably 20,000 new recruits to the problem every day through retirement.
