Operation Clean Stream

The Open Space Council for the St. Louis Region, a local
nonprofit land and water conservation organization, is hosting Operation Clean
Stream(OCS).  Volunteers are wanted to participate in one of the
largest and longest ongoing river clean-ups in America and is scheduled
for Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th 2014. There are various sites
throughout the greater St. Louis region where volunteers can get involved to
help restore the Meramec River Watershed.  Major sites include: Greentree
Park in Kirkwood, George Winter Park in Fenton, Route 66 State Park, Meramec
State Park, and Arnold City Park and the event will begin at approximately
9a.m. and run until 1p.m.

All volunteers will be provided with gloves and trash bags,
along with a free t-shirt (while supplies last)! There is no cost to
participate, and there is no minimum age requirement.  Children under 18
years of age must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
